A seasonal bento packed with the flavors of autumn and the bounty of Noto

Oshima a Japanese cuisine formerly a traditional inn in Yamanaka Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture, will be offering a limited-edition autumn bento lunch using ingredients from Noto, Ishikawa Prefecture, in the hopes of supporting producers affected by the earthquake and other people who have helped us in various ways.

The menu features a variety of ingredients and dishes that bring the traditions of Kaga cuisine to life, such as "Noto Pork Stew" made with "Noto Pork," a brand-name pork from the Noto region that is more flavorful the more you chew it, "Hyakumangoku Mushrooms," which are said to be particularly aromatic in autumn, and "Kaga Lentils," which are more viscous in autumn. The menu features duck meat and other ingredients in a broth. We also offer local cuisine and Jibuwan dishes such as duck meat dipped in a dashi (Japanese soup stock).
