They had originally planned to hold a garden wedding in Tokyo in July 2020, but the plan was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
We had no particular complaints about not having a wedding, thinking that we were enjoying our time together as a married couple, but after our son was born, we decided to have a wedding as we wanted to express our gratitude to everyone who had taken care of us and to tell them in person that we had become husband and wife.
I took my two-month-old son with me to tour the venue and was impressed by how well prepared they were for our needs, so I made the decision without any hesitation. The following are the points I considered important when choosing a venue.
- Easy access from home to prepare for the trip with my young son
・The cuisine is delicious
・Since many guests arrive by plane, it is easily accessible from Haneda
・It is preferable to have a venue that is barrier-free and provides detailed support so that guests of all ages can attend with peace of mind.
- I want to entertain guests in an open space where they can also enjoy the scenery

We chose a civil ceremony because we felt we could incorporate our individuality without being bound by religion.
Our favorite songs were played on the pipe organ, which helped us relax as we entered the venue.

We wanted the guests to enjoy their meal slowly and at their leisure, so we decided not to have any entertainment or change their clothes, and instead spent more time chatting.
I had decided from the beginning that I would only wear a white wedding dress, so I designed and made the earrings with my own style in mind.

We received many comments saying, "It was the best food I've ever eaten at a cuisine I've ever attended!"
There was also a comment that "It was a unique Japanese-Western fusion cuisine that is typical of Yokohama and was great."
We were also relieved when a guest with a food allergy told us, "I was very happy that I was able to enjoy the separate menu that was prepared for us."
The food was cut into bite-sized pieces for the bride and groom so we could enjoy cuisine too, which was fantastic.

As this was my first time raising a child, I was nervous about getting ready with my infant son in tow;
The wedding planner in charge led us with outstanding tolerance, allowing us to proceed with preparations with peace of mind.
They took into consideration my schedule and time allocation so that I could take care of my son as usual,
My son was loved by people other than the person in charge as well, and every meeting was enjoyable.
Also, there were unexpected changes in my body shape and physical condition,
I received careful advice from a knowledgeable and experienced dress coordinator, and was able to choose the perfect dress.
Our son was two months old when we visited the wedding venue, but he was eight months old on our wedding day, and it felt like everyone was watching him grow up with us, making this a very special memory.

The venue, the cuisine, the hospitality, everything was fantastic.
Many of the guests commented that the cuisine was especially delicious. It wasn't a large party, but that meant the guests were able to feel closer to each other, and it was a wedding filled with smiles.

Preparing for a wedding can be a lot of work, but don't worry, wedding planners are there to help you.
I thought it was important for us to take the time to discuss and shape the type of wedding we wanted.
I hope it will be a wonderful ceremony.
